May CEO Message

I wanted to begin by thanking everyone who responded to last month’s eNVD PIC Search Survey. We had a strong response, with both of the proposed options being very well received.

There was an overwhelming preference for Option B with its flexible dashboard and range of additional features – including the ability to select from recently used PICs, which many users found helpful.

Your feedback will help our User Experience team develop the most effective PIC search solution and deliver a better eNVD experience for everyone.

New LPA tool for animal welfare management

Following more than 18 months of industry consultation, the new Animal Welfare Management Plan (AWMP) is set to become a required element of LPA accreditation from 23 June.

This change underscores the importance of animal welfare to industry and will provide greater consumer confidence by demonstrating on-farm practices align with the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines.

From 23 June, producers will be able to use a new LPA tool to create, download and store their new AWMP to their LPA account, where it can be updated or accessed if required for an LPA audit.

You don’t need to wait until your LPA accreditation is due to create an AWMP – you can create, update or review your AWMP at any time via your LPA account after 23 June.

EUDR geolocation tool

With the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements set to come into effect at the end of the year, we recently launched a simple mapping tool which allows EU-accredited producers to opt-in and share their geolocation data (via LPA) with European importers.

The tool ensures the producer’s PIC is not identified and enables them to maintain control of their data at all times.

To date, 317 producers have opted-in to share their geolocation data. Any LPA-accredited producers interested in sharing their geolocation data can do so by logging into their LPA account (via myMLA) and navigating to the Programs page. You can read more about the EUDR on the LPA webpage.

NLIS roadshows and user testing

Our team continues to take concepts for the uplifted NLIS on the road.

While at the recent Angus EXPO 2025 in Tamworth, Xander Bennet, ISC Communications Officer, and Jessira Saunders, ISC Product Strategy Manager - Livestock Assurance and Feedback, chatted with producers and shared new dashboard concepts for the uplifted NLIS database.

Over coming weeks, the team will be attending the Best Wool/Best Lamb and BetterBeef Networks Roadshow in Victoria on the following dates:

  • Edenhope on 28 May
  • Dunkeld on 29 May
  • Warragul on 3 June
  • Mansfield on 4 June.

You can check future roadshow dates by visiting our events page. Please come along and meet the team if there’s a road show event happening near you.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this edition of Integrity Matters.
