I wanted to begin by acknowledging that many of our Queensland producers have been battling record floods over the past week. If you're in an affected area, please consider reading ISC's Natural Disaster Bulletin which provides guidance on recovery from a flood event, as well as our factsheet on agisting your livestock.

More resources for affected producers can be found on MLA’s Flood information page and its Wellbeing and disaster hub.

Our customer service desk is also on hand to provide assistance seven days a week during the following hours: 8am-7pm (AEST) Monday-Friday and 9am-5pm (AEST) Saturday/Sunday.

NLIS Uplift

Work on our NLIS Database Uplift project continues and we are now 20 weeks into the building phase.

We’re at a stage where we can go out to events and show producers the new concepts for our user interface. We shared these concepts with producers in early March at Dairy Australia’s Grounds for Growth conference in Victoria, and we’ll be demonstrating concepts for both the producer and processor interface at the upcoming Meat Processing and Export Conference in early April.

ISC Roadshow

Over the next few months, our teams will be going on the road to not only share these new concepts for the uplifted NLIS, but also to help producers better understand the NLIS, the eNVD and the ongoing expansion of the LPA program.

The first of these events will take place at the Royal Easter Show during Cattle Week. The team will be onsite in the Cattle Pavillion on Tuesday 8 April and Wednesday 9 April. We’ll be hosting a lunch on the Tuesday so, if you’re bringing cattle to the show, come by for a chat over some sandwiches.

We'll be sharing more dates and locations for further events as they are confirmed, so please keep an eye on our social media channels to find out when we are coming to an area near you.

eNVD transporter trial

In a project co-funded by the MLA Donor Company (MDC), ISC has been working with Martins Stock Haulage to embed electronic National Vendor Declarations (eNVDs) in their livestock transport operations.

We recently produced this video which highlights the positive impact the project has had on efficiencies across Martins’ operations.

Open call: eNVD adoption in the red meat supply chain

ISC is working to support processors, livestock agencies, saleyards, transporters, and their software providers, to make the shift to the eNVD, before paperless consignments become an industry requirement.

Together with the MDC, we are implementing a co-funded program of work to help these businesses implement the systems, processes and supply chain activities needed to take advantage of this technology immediately – enabling the whole supply chain to benefit from end-to-end digitisation.

More information about this co-funding opportunity can be found at Open call: eNVD Adoption in Red Meat Supply Chains or by emailing Gabrielle Sherring gsherring@integritysystems.com.au.

Public Holidays

With Easter around the corner, I just wanted to remind producers that our customer service desk will be closed from Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April, inclusive, as well for the Anzac Day public holiday.

I hope everyone can take the opportunity to enjoy a safe and happy holiday during these times.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this edition of Integrity Matters.

Kind regards,

Jo Quigley
CEO
