Accessing Geolocations

After a producer has opted-in and pinned their geolocation, processors and feedlots can access the relevant geolocation data in two ways:

Login to the NLIS and retrieve a report titled ‘Geolocations of Animal Movements’. This report allows NLIS device numbers (NLISID or RFID) to be searched. A list of geolocations that are available for each NLIS device will then be generated. The geolocations can then be exported from the NLIS and be checked and shared with EU importers. Follow this guide for step-by-step instructions on how to retrieve this report from the NLIS.

Integrity Systems has developed a new API which allows geolocation data to be retrieved directly, system to system, without users needing to log in, run a report and reformat the results.

Accessing the new API

Access to the API is not automatic. Feedlots and processors wishing to have the API added to their internal systems need to apply for access, carry out their development work and sign a licence agreement upon which time production credentials will be issued.
