Meeting your integrity system requirements is the key to guaranteeing red meat produced on your property is safe to eat, fully traceable and in demand. If your circumstances change and you no longer wish to keep your LPA accreditation which requires LPA auditing of your PIC perhaps because you currently do not have any animals currently on the property, then you can choose to cancel your LPA accreditation and reapply when it suits. You may contact the LPA Help center and your LPA account associated with the PIC that was initially registered can be reinstated.

As part of LPA, biosecurity is a key requirement which assists producers in standing by what they sell. ISC understands that some challenges with biosecurity, such as feral animal invasion, can be out of your control. Being aware of this risk and noting it in your biosecurity plan, as well as how you will manage it, is important should you be audited as an LPA-accredited producer.   Read more about biosecurity as an LPA requirement.

The requirements for access to Alternate Feedstuff are a part of the LPA Program Rules. LPA accredited producers are required to adhere to the LPA Program Rules and Standards, including access to Alternate Feedstuff.  Cotton trash is classified as an Alternate Feedstuff under the LPA Program Rules and its use will be enforced as a part of the LPA program requirements. Producers acquiring cotton trash will also need to demonstrate how they are adhering to these requirements when selected for random or targeted LPA audits.
