Completing a biosecurity plan
From 1 September this year, it will be mandatory for LPA-accredited producers to complete a Biosecurity management plan (if they have not already done so) when seeking LPA accreditation or re-accreditation.
Completing an LPA Biosecurity plan will help you document and manage key risks to your enterprise and any livestock on the property. This could include:
Two ways to complete your biosecurity plan
There are two ways to complete and submit a biosecurity plan for your Property Identification Code (PIC) number.
1. Completing your biosecurity plan as part of your LPA accreditation.
When completing your LPA accreditation online, you will be prompted to complete your biosecurity plan before proceeding to complete your accreditation.

When completing your LPA accreditation offline, the biosecurity plan will be provided as part of the pack you receive. You can complete the biosecurity plan and return it with your accreditation forms for processing.
2. Complete the online LPA biosecurity plan template and upload it to your LPA account.

Reviewing and updating your Biosecurity Plan
Once complete, it's recommended that you review your biosecurity plan at least once a year to ensure it remains accurate and aligned with your on-farm practices.
