CEO message
With wet weather hitting much of the east coast over the past week or two, I know many drought-affected producers will have breathed a sigh of relief when that rain came through. However, predictions of a drier than average winter for many parts of the country mean that a lot of producers will continue to do it tough over the coming months - with already tight margins being further squeezed by the recent rises in fuel and fertiliser costs.
Reaccreditation for disaster-affected producers
To support producers impacted by the Queensland floods and Victorian fires earlier this year, Integrity Systems had applied a three-month deferral for LPA reaccreditations falling due between mid-January and the end of March (in Queensland) or the end of April (in Victoria).
With these deferral periods now starting to expire, affected producers will have started receiving reminders to complete their LPA reaccreditation. If you require any assistance in completing your reaccreditation, please contact our service desk.
eLearning
Our LPA team continues to work to support LPA-accredited producers to meet their compliance requirements.
Earlier this week, we launched a suite of 12 eLearning modules designed to help users understand and comply with the LPA modules.
The new eLearning modules can be found here and are available for free to anyone who would like to learn more about LPA compliance – all you need to access them is a myMLA account.
Webinars
With our recent webinar series drawing to a close last week, all the recordings and support resources for each of these events are now available on the website.
This was our most successful series to date with our webinar demonstrating how to conduct a PIC Reconciliation attracting a record number of registrations. We also presented webinars on Animal Welfare, Livestock Movements, Audits and Accounts, Sheep & Goat eIDs, eNVDs, and an introduction to Integrity Systems for Small Producers.
I’d encourage you to look at the Q&As featured in this month’s newsletter, where our team answered the questions that were asked during the webinars.
New Australia Post requirements affecting NVD book orders
Australia Post now requires all parcels to include an email address or mobile phone number on the address label. This could affect orders for physical National Vendor Declaration books. To make sure you have uninterrupted access to these books, read this month’s article for tips on how to be sure your details are up to date.
For those who have been thinking about moving to a paperless system, now might be a good time to consider moving to eNVDs.
Adoption events
Over the next couple of months, Demi Lollback from our digital adoption team will be onsite and ready to answer your questions about digital consignments at the following MLA adoption events:
16 July Livestock Advisor Update (Roma, Qld)
12 August MeatUp Forum (Northam, WA)
19 August Livestock Advisor Updates (Bendigo, Vic)
We’ll continue to keep you informed as new events are added and, if there’s an event in your area, I’d encourage you to register and come along with any questions you might have.
Visit the MLA website to learn more about the events and training opportunities coming up.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy reading this month’s newsletter.
