Integrity Systems Company (ISC)’s Stand by what you sell webinar series continues this month with more practical tips to help you meet the requirements of the red meat integrity system.

With over 1,500 viewers so far, the popular series includes a two-part webinar, ‘LPA…what it means for you on-farm’, to be held this month to help producers ensure they are meeting the seven requirements of the Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) program.

LPA is the on-farm assurance program that underpins consumer confidence and market access for Australian red meat. Producers must be LPA-accredited to access the LPA National Vendor Declaration (NVD).

The first instalment of the two-part webinar session will be held on Tuesday 10 August between 8–9pm (AEST) and will provide hands-on advice to help producers meet the first four requirements of the LPA program, including:

  • property risk assessments
  • safe and responsible animal treatments
  • stock foods, fodder, crops, grain and pasture treatments
  • preparation for dispatch of livestock.

The second instalment in the webinar session will be held on Tuesday 17 August between 8–9pm (AEST) and will cover the remaining three LPA program requirements, including:

  • livestock transactions and movements
  • biosecurity
  • animal welfare.

Visit the ISC website to find out more about the webinar or sign up to attend the first instalment in the two-part session.

The two-part session will also provide a range of handy tips for ensuring your farm records are up to date – another requirement of the LPA program which ensures you can stand by what you sell when undergoing an LPA audit or completing an LPA NVD.

Anyone handling livestock is encouraged to attend the series. More webinars will be hosted as part of ISC’s Stand by what you sell series throughout the coming weeks and months on a range of other integrity system topics, from navigating the NLIS database to using the electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD) to complete consignment paperwork required to transport livestock.
